Highly efficient sealing Internal floating roof with welded honeycomb core integrates the advantages of traditional floating disc, from the safety, operability, compatibility with the storage tank, economic efficiency, to optimize the structure design of the floating disc, edge and accessory seal, reduce VOCs emissions from the source and achieve longer service life, to achieve safety, environmental protection, energy saving purposes.
Structural form
The liquid-welded honeycomb core high-efficiency sealing floating roof is mainly composed of floating tank module, pillar, peripheral high-efficiency sealing and accessory sealing. According to different requirements, different functions of the opening and auxiliary parts are added.
There is a 200mm gap between the floating plate and the tank wall, and the sliding elastic plate seal + secondary tongue scraper seal form is highly efficient, which completely blocks the volatilization of the exposed liquid surface at the edge.
Adopt the box full welding process. In addition to welding at the corner of the box hem, sealing laser welding is also implemented on the whole box (upper and lower plate joints) to ensure that the entire box has no leakage.

The interior of the module box is supported with honeycomb core to increase the plane compressive strength, and the support strength is more than 7 times the API650 standard.
While ensuring the rigidity of the floating disc, the whole floating disc has a certain deflection, so the floating disc has good passability when the operation is blocked, avoiding the situation of excessive rigidity and blocking, and ensuring the stability of the floating disc.
The honeycomb core is connected to the lower cover plate of the module by modified epoxy resin adhesive (composite epoxy adhesive) or brazing. In this way, each honeycomb hole forms an independent buoyancy unit that does not communicate with each other, and even if the box leaks into the liquid, it cannot enter the inside of the honeycomb hole.
Each standard module contains up to 2,000 buoyancy units.
The module is assembled in a quality shape to form a multi-point, multi-line and multi-sided connection. The sealing strips are used between the boxes to seal the overall structure of the box, so that the overall structure of the box is stable without leakage. The edge plate is directly connected with the box by bolts to ensure higher bearing capacity while eliminating the cavity and reducing the occurrence of leakage. The connection method of the upper and lower vertical edge bolts makes the floating disk flexible, reduces the risk of the chuck, and improves the passability, impact resistance and overall strength of the floating disk. During the module installation process, there is no need for hot work, quick on-site installation, and simple and convenient post-inspection and maintenance process.
The dislocation arrangement of the "pin" shape and the connection form of the upper and lower vertical edge can ensure that the module of the floating disk can quickly transfer the impact energy to the other six modules around the floating disk when it is impacted, reduce the impact damage to a single module, and ensure the integrity and stability of the floating top.
